For coaches looking to have their team participate in a structured and progressive development program, look no further than Athlete’s Zone.

Our team sessions help to build comradery and performance expectations within the team, and ensure that coaches can directly monitor each athletes effort level, athleticism, and workload capacity. Maintaining a regular in-season schedule allows coaches to play a stronger and more aggressive game style throughout the long season, knowing their opposition will have trouble matching their team’s efforts.

Our team programs are built to challenge athletes physically, with instruction and coaching of the team by our sports performance personnel in a 70 minute training session.

Some coaches choose to train at Athlete’s Zone year-round, giving their athletes an opportunity to develop together as a group. This is a great way for coaches to ensure players commit to development during their off-season, keeping a team-first attitude always present in their program and ensuring players arrive in shape for the upcoming schedule.

Each team session is pre-planned, with athletes performing a structured warm-up, foam rolling, activation and movement based drills to begin. The team then performs their power and movement skills training before moving into the strength portion of the workout. The strength portion of the session typically involves small circuits of 3 to 5 exercise pairings, allowing the team to experience multiple exercises dealing with lower, core and upper body movement patterns and really increase the density and volume of work performed within the team session.

Depending on the training goals of the team, additional strength work may be performed or the team may want to focus on conditioning during these training sessions. Training plans are adjusted and modified based on the sport, age, goals of the coaching staff and ability level of the athletes so that every team gets the most out of the time and energy they put into their sessions at Athlete’s Zone.

Some coaches prefer to have their team tested at one point in the season. Athlete’s Zone can administer large group testing with ease, providing the coach with a testing report detailing their athlete’s results in tests of power, strength, movement skills, acceleration, conditioning and workload capacity.
